We are so grateful for all of the opportunities we have had to reach out to the community. We enjoy doing outreach in many ways such as:
INSPIRING OTHERS TO JOIN FIRST®
WORKING WITH INDUSTRY EXPERTS
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
INSPIRING OTHERS TO JOIN FIRST®
We organized a booth at Girl Scouts STEM Day where we showcased our robot and allowed visitors to drive. We spoke with Girl Scouts and their families who were interested in robotics about steps to take when starting a new team, encouraging girls in STEM.
We hosted an FTC odometry workshop, where our presentation was well-received and sparked engaging discussions among both veteran and rookie teams.
We partnered with the Washington County 4-H program to set up a booth at the Washington County Fair, where we distributed FIRST flyers to visitors and provided information on how they could start their own teams. We also did a live demo of our robot and allowed visitors to drive.
We organized and led a 5-day summer camp, using the FLL Masterpiece mat to guide students in designing attachments and programming EV3 and Spike Prime robots to complete various missions. We also presented a mock challenge, encouraging students to brainstorm innovative solutions.
We attended the Finley Fair, where we showcased our robot to elementary students and handed out our High Voltage Summer Camp flyers to visitors, offering additional information about the program.
We mentored multiple new FLL teams as we imparted our knowledge from our experience in the program. Almost all of our team members participated in FLL for multiple years before starting FTC and we love to share what we know with our community!
WORKING WITH INDUSTRY EXPERTS
We have had the amazing opportunity to work with numerous industry experts who have shown us the application of what we practice in FTC in the real world. We have seen large scale robots, as well as interesting applications of CAD skills and platforms. Additionally, we have been able to explore the usages of the code that we use in FTC. We are so grateful for these opportunities and are excited to continue working with experts!
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
We dedicate our team funds to helping students experience the joy of STEM. We have launched several programs worldwide that allow us to share our knowledge of robotics with the people around us. Robotics is a combination of learning STEM, as well as developing critical thinking skills, and creating innovative ideas. It also fosters new connections and bonds within teammates and teams. As our team strongly values kindness and community, we are very passionate about sharing our resources and knowledge with the people around us! Through our partnership with Bienestar De La Familia, we have launched FTC Team #26271 Bienestar Crazy Robotics!
